How long since I blogged?

Nearly 4 months, that’s how long! Shame on me. Reason?Excuse? Hmmm, other than being busy and a large attack of ‘couldn’t be bothered’-ness none really.
Quite a lot has happened in that time. The Andalucian summer has been and gone. Builders have been and gone. We are still disputing with them about the damp and mould and refuse to accept that their magic paint is going to stop it – their advice to keep the house dry and condensation-free? Keep bedroom doors open at night – errrr, what is the point of having doors then? Open the windows- yeah right, when it’s minus 5 outside ….Buy a dehumidifier – mmmmm, yeah, but the point is the house is guaranteed against condensation and damp….anway I won’t go on any more, it’s depressing me.
On a better note, the heating FINALLY seems to be fixed. Only took 14 months but we finally have a warm house.
As for us, and the great Spain adventure? Much as it was, veering between ‘we hate it, let’s go back to the UK NOW’ and ‘it’s so lovely here, want to stay forever’ on an almost weekly basis! A gross miscalculation of how much money we need to live on has meant that we have both taken on more work. With him, unfortunately, it means he is spending a lot of time in the UK now, doing more and more work.
I got more work – got one job and lost it within a month- less said about that the better- but am doing a fair amount apart from that. Still with the wonderful iVillage – about to go through a big re-launch – watch this space- also still with Quiiip, the Australian moderating company on an intermittent basis, doing a bit of part time mod work for an adoption forum and have just taken on the role of Social Media manager for a travel company………..so pretty full on.
Boys are now 7, still arguing over EVERY little thing, they had their birthday last week so the house looks like a miniature building site – LEGO scattered on every available floor space…..
Note to self: I WILL blog more regularly now. Just kind of got out of the habit. Bye for now!
